An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.
A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
