19 of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has endured a challenging year, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in especial - caused him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently progressed in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested competitive win over opponent Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court from spring of that year.
Success also means he has achieved twenty-one titles at twenty-one various competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my children together, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," commented ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my child my daughter, because the initial championship I won when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his last six championship matches, including in that event earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching approach and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had caused commentators to wonder if his skill to play at the elite level was finished.
But the player has made changes in the past month, making an effort to come to the net and play assertively, supported by an improved serve.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the first set against the challenging opponent, securing 4 of the concluding five points to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial tour title, seized the initiative to push for a final set.
Moutet saved 4 early opportunities in a competitive third set before the Russian secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev earned victory with a point at the net area, with his opponent unable to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
